Favorites from the #IDCOatHome Feed

At over 180k posts, selecting just ten images for our monthly #IDCOatHome series is nearly an impossible task. First, there are designers like Laura Hodges, who gave us a look into the Bank Street Residence set in downtown Baltimore. Then, there are designers like Ashley Montgomery, who shared a cozy scene from her cottage project on the shores of Ontario. With such a wide array of inspiring spaces, it’s always difficult to choose favorites, but these are the ones that most recently caught our attention. As always, don’t forget to tag your posts with #IDCOatHome for a chance to be featured.

Off white kitchen with exposed wood pendant lighting | Design by Audrey Scheck Design

Interior Design: @audreyscheckdesign | Photography: @cateblackphoto

As a dear friend and fellow Austin local, we like to keep a close eye on Audrey Scheck’s latest work. This project, dubbed her Circle C Remodel, showcases Audrey’s ability to bring tons of character to a newly built home. Our favorite moment in this kitchen? It’s the well-layered wood tones that flow throughout the space.

Vertical shiplap living room wall treatment | Design by Ashley Montgomery

Set on the shores of Ontario, Ashley Montgomery’s #projecteindfall is cottage-style perfection. Between the linen slipcovered sofa and well-layered pillows, we couldn’t think of a better place to land at the end of a long day.

Downtown Baltimore penthouse project | Design by Laura Hodges Studio

Interior Design: @laurahodgesstudio | Photography: @jennverrierphoto

Everything about this Baltimore penthouse makes us want to trade our current homes for downtown city living. Laura Hodges played with color and texture in all the right ways while allowing the surrounding cityscape really steal the show.

Romantic modern cottage bedroom design | Design by Rehabitat Interiors

Interior Design: @em_rehabitat

When a mother-daughter team takes over a space, beautiful things happen. Just look at this expertly designed primary bedroom, for example. Known as Rehabitat Interiors, Emily and Diane put their modern-traditional touch on the bedroom, fringe skirt ottoman included.

Red vintage runner in white kitchen | Design by Miche Victoria Design

Interior Design: @michevictoriadesign | Photography: @stephaniecrusso

Miche Victoria’s principles for kitchen design are as follows: Choose a neutral palette. Select quality materials that will stand the test of time. And stay away from trends. We think she accomplished all of the above with a black and white kitchen that’s as classic as they come.

Moody slate blue office cabinetry | design by Lauren Evans Interiors

Interior Design: @laurenevansinteriors  | Photography: @vivianjohnsonphoto

Over time, we’ve developed a serious soft spot for dark and moody interiors. Especially when that color covers the cabinetry, wall, and millwork for an all-over look. While this particular shade of blue is custom, Lauren Evans shared that it’s very similar to Cyberspace by Benjamin Moore.

Woven rattan dining room pendant | Design by Laura Christian

Interior Design: @lauradesignandco

We’ve previously rounded up our favorite statement lighting, but now we’re adding another to the list. This textural, woven pendant brought tons of drama to the dining space, and works beautifully against the open all-white kitchen.

Modern mudroom design with exposed wood cabinetry | Design by Britt Design Studio

Interior Design: @brittdesignstudio | Photography: @raquellangworthy.photo

No matter what climate you live in, mudrooms are a big deal. Especially this time of year when muddy shoes are inevitable. Luckily, designers like Britt Design Studio don’t consider mudrooms an afterthought and select hard-working materials that can stand up to any mess.

Oversized kitchen island with woven leather barstool seating | Design by Treasure in the Detail

Interior Design: @treasureinthedetail | Photography: @lifecreated

Arizona-based design firm Treasure in the Detail isn’t one to play it safe. At least not when it comes to pendant lighting. They opted for two oversized brass pendants in their latest kitchen design for the ultimate dramatic effect.

Pleated sconce shade for living room floor lamp | Design by Jyll Mackie

Interior Design: @jyll_mackie

Pleated shades have been one of our team’s most-loved design trends over the past several years. They add a touch of romance to any modern home, as evidenced by Jyll Mackie. And believe it or not, this particular pleated shade was a DIY endeavor.
